FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

2nd Annual Tri-Valley AI Summit

Making AI Serve Us: A Discussion About Privacy, Transparency, Guard Rails, and Bias, and Use in the Real World

Presented by Startup Tri-Valley, the City of Dublin, Rezolve.ai, and hosted by Patelco

DUBLIN, CA – July 30, 2024 – Last year’s Tri-Valley Artificial Intelligence Summit on generative AI was born after recording an episode of the Startup Tri-Valley podcast in an off-mic discussion between the podcast episode co-hosts, Hazel Wetherford, Dublin, CA’s, Deputy City Manager, and Yolanda Fintschenko, Executive Director of i-GATE Innovation Hub, who is leading the Startup Tri-Valley initiative, and featured guest, Saurabh Kumar, Founder and CEO of Dublin-based Rezolve.ai. This year, the summit is returning to focus on yet another timely topic, a discussion of guardrails including those providing transparency, privacy, and preventing bias in artificial intelligence.

“This is an important discussion between end users and customers, AI developers, and legislators,” states Fintschenko. “We are fortunate to have thought leaders in all sectors here in the Tri-Valley to lead and inform this discussion.”

“We have so many innovators in AI in the city of Dublin and in the Tri-Valley,” said Mayor Michael McCorriston.  “It’s important to showcase the achievements of the companies that call Tri-Valley cities, like Dublin, home. Even more important is taking the opportunity they offer the community to learn from their expertise through events like the AI Summit.”

For Kumar, sponsoring the summit again was a no-brainer. “Resolving the issues in artificial intelligence related to guardrails, transparency, privacy, and bias has importance to every industry,” says Kumar. “Our Tri-Valley startup ecosystem is strengthened because we can connect experts in many deeply technical fields, business implementation, and legislation to each other and to the broader business community through events like this.”

The Tri-Valley AI Summit will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, at Patelco Credit Union Corporate Headquarters, 3 Park Place in Dublin, CA. Tickets are free, but registration is required. Hosted by Patelco and sponsored by Rezolve.ai and the City of Dublin, California, the summit will open with an opportunity for networking. Throughout the networking portion of the event, experts will be available to lead discussions about legislation, privacy, transparency, bias, and guardrails. This will be followed by a panel discussion about the topic, “Making AI Serve Us,” moderated by Saurabh Kumar, CEO of Rezolve.ai.

Panelists include Chun Jian, CEO and co-founder of Monterey AI; Chiranjeevi “IC” Ikkurthy, Interim IT Administrative Director for Stanford Health Care; and Brian Spears, Director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories AI Incubator. This will be followed by a networking reception. Invited participants include CIOs, IT leaders, business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs from the Tri-Valley, Silicon Valley, and greater Bay Area.
