Unchained Labs Hosts 2023 Tri-Valley Life Sciences Summit at New Building
Preeminent Life Sciences Event Showcases Regions Strengths and Emerging Industries
PLEASANTON, CA – September 28, 2023 – The 2023 Tri-Valley Life Sciences Summit offer attendees an inside view of the Tri-Valley’s growing life sciences industry and a first look at the new Unchained Labs campus.
Says Pleasanton resident and Unchained Labs Founder and CEO, Tim Harkness, “We are excited to welcome the Tri-Valley Life Sciences community to our new digs as we continue to expand in the Tri-Valley.”
In addition to hosting the summit at Unchained Labs, Tim will moderate a conversation with former Apton Biosystems CEO, John Hanna. He is looking forward to learning more about the acquisition of Apton Biosystems by PacBio and notes, “Hearing from John will help other founders and company leaders understand how to secure a successful exit at a time when IPOs are going to be rare.”
The Tri-Valley Life Sciences Summit will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, at Unchained Labs, 4747 Willow Road in Pleasanton, California. Tickets are free, but registration is required. Hosted by Unchained Labs and sponsored by Tri-Valley Ventures, Mirador Capital Partners, and Metcon, the summit will open with an analysis of the life sciences in the Tri-Valley investment landscape. The keynote event is a fireside chat with John Hanna, formerly CEO of Apton Biosystems and currently Vice President of Corporate Development at PacBio.
This will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Genoa Ventures principal Landon Merrill, featuring chief executives and founders of synthetic biology and therapeutics companies, about what is attracting and what is still needed to support these emerging life sciences industries in the Tri-Valley.
